Application for Admission

To apply for admission to the university, please complete and submit an online Application for Admissions.

  • Within 7 working days of submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email from SDGKU with instructions on how to proceed with enrollment. Applying online ensures a faster turnaround and a smoother process.
  • Applicants for academic programs, such as bachelor’s or master’s degrees, must submit a Statement of Purpose (max. 100 words) explaining their reasons for enrolling at SDGKU and the personal or professional benefits they expect to gain.
    • A Statement of Purpose is not required for non-degree programs, but it is recommended.
  • Students needing disability accommodations should follow the university’s ADA Accommodations Policy by submitting the necessary documentation and requirements.
  • Applicants with foreign transcripts must adhere to the universitys Transfer of Credit Policy, which outlines the certification process through recognized agencies before admission. It also describes the type of foreign transcript evaluators that are accepted by 做厙勛圖.

Transcripts

做厙勛圖 (SDGKU) admits regular students who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Have a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent of a high school diploma, and
  • Are beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State in which the institution is physically located or have proof of secondary school completion.

做厙勛圖 (SDGKU) verifies the validity of a student’s high school completion when necessary. If the institution or the Secretary has reason to believe that a high school diploma is invalid or issued by a non-educational entity, procedures are in place to evaluate its legitimacy.

Transcript Requirements for Non-Degree and Degree Program Applicants:

Non-Degree Programs:

Applicants must submit one of the following:

  • Unofficial high school transcripts
  • High school/GED diploma
  • Unofficial university transcripts

Associate & Bachelors Degree Programs:

  • AS in Software Development
  • BS in Global Management

Applicants must submit original transcripts of academic records from either:

  • The high school they attended
  • The college/university where they earned academic credits

Masters Degree Programs:

  • MS in International Management
  • MS in Communication and Technology

Applicants must submit original transcripts from either:

  • The university that issued their undergraduate degree
  • Another college/university where they earned academic credits

  • Students cannot proceed to the enrollment phase until SDGKU has received and approved their original transcripts.

English Language Proficiency Certification

All applicants that are non-native of an English speaking country are required to provide evidence of one of the following english language proficiency certifications:

A minimum total score of 57 on the paper-delivered Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), or 61 on the Internet Based Test (iBT); 6.0 on the International English Language Test (IELTS); 44 on the Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report; 95 on the Duolingo English Test; or 53 on the 4-skill Michigan English Test (MET), or 650/LP on the Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE), or 650/LP on the Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE), or a high school diploma completed at an accredited/recognized high school (where the medium of instruction is English).

A minimum total score of 60 on the paper-delivered Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), or 71 on the Internet Based Test (iBT); 6.5 on the International English Language Test (IELTS); 50 on the Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report; 100 on the Duolingo English Test; or 55 on the 4-skill Michigan English Test (MET), or 650/LP on the Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE), or 650/LP on the Michigan Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE).

A minimum score on the College Board Accuplacer ESL Exam Series as follows:

  • ESL Language Use: Score of 85
  • ESL Listening: Score of 80
  • ESL Reading: Score of 85
  • ESL Sentence Meaning: Score of 90

ESL Writeplacer: Score of 4 Comprehensive

A minimum grade of Pre-1 on the Eiken English Proficiency Exam.

A minimum B-2 English proficiency level identified within the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) standards and assessed through various ESOL examinations, including the University of Cambridge.

A transcript indicating completion of at least 30 semester credit hours with an average grade of C or higher at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities where the language of instruction was English. A B or higher is required for masters degree.

Spanish Language Proficiency Certification

做厙勛圖 students whose native language is not Spanish must demonstrate college-level proficiency in Spanish through one of the following for admission:

  1. A high school diploma (or high school license) completed at an accredited/recognized high school where the medium of instruction is Spanish.
  2. Official documentation of an earned degree from an appropriately accredited institution where Spanish is the principal language of instruction.
  3. A transcript indicating completion of at least 30 semester credit hours with an average grade of C or higher at an appropriately accredited institution where Spanish is the principal language of instruction.
  4. A minimum B-2 Spanish proficiency level on the Diplomas de Espa簽ol Como Lengua Extranjera (DELE: Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) test. See Cervantes Institute for more information.
  5. A minimum Spanish proficiency score on the Servicio Internacional de Evaluaci籀n de la Lengua Espa簽ola (SIELE: International Spanish Language Evaluation Service) test as follows. All four modules of the SIELE test must be taken and the student must earn at least the scores indicated below. See siele.org for more information.
    1. Reading Comprehension At least 178
    2. Listening Comprehension At least 164
    3. Written Expression and Interaction At least 167
    4. Oral Expression and Interaction At least 176
  6. 95 on the Duolingo Spanish Test

New Student Enrollment Agreement

Applicants must complete and submit the New Student Enrollment Agreement (NSEA) to officially enroll. This document outlines university policies, tuition and fees, program dates, and student responsibilities.

Once the signed NSEA is returned, SDGKU sends an Official Admission Letter confirming acceptance.
